If you play a Telecaster & have had a problem with a right angle cable plug, this cable works. The Tele socket is designed in a way that a straight plug can be uncomfortable so Tele players often use a 90 degree plug & route the cable up & around the guitar strap at the heel of the instrument. With that they might find that some 90 degree plugs don't fully engage the socket & might… read more even fall out. I always figured an instrument cable was an instrument cable. Ide always buy the cheapest one and just chalk up the hissing up to the amp, pick ups or wall plug. After some research, I decided to try out the Mogami CorePlus 10ft cable. Hissing and humming eliminated! I guess you can teach an old dog new tricks!
