Difficult to assemble and constantly coming apart.
I bought a ton of these cables to wire a large pedalboard. I normally use George L cables but figured I'd save some money. First off, as others have pointed out these are difficult to assemble. They require very precise cutting and stripping, and if you have too much of the core wire exposed your cable will not work. The problem is that pushing the cable into the connector can… read more easily expose more of the core wire than you intended, resulting in the need to redo the cable. On the other hand, with George L cables you can just cut (no stripping required), then insert the cable and hand-tighten the connector. Much quicker and easier. Secondly, the connectors on these tend to loosen over time, requiring the connector to be re-tightened or (in some cases) requiring you to re-strip the end of the cable and put the reassemble the connector. You don't want to find out your cables became loose when you're setting up before a set. Long story short, spend the extra cash on a different cable if you're going the solderless route.
VERY difficult to assemble!
Once these cables are assembled properly, they're great. Low profile, clean tone... sounds good, right? But assembling these things is AWFUL. I shouldn't get blisters and cuts on my hands just trying to make a cable, only to find out it doesn't work and I have to do it again! The youtube videos make it look easy, so I thought I'd try them. Good cables, but not worth the pain to… read more assemble them.

Lava mini elc--save your money
Let's see... this is no bargain! I followed various youtube vids very carefully, including Dan the Rig Guy from The Pedal Show, and I have failed at least 5 times and have had no luck making even one working cable. Maybe you'll be luckier than me. There are many pre-made cables in various configurations and lengths at Sweetwater that are far cheaper and that work!
