Perfect mini cab with max sound!

The 60w vintage 30 speaker is perfect for cranking out some huge tones with a little footprint. I got this for the studio to mic it or use as a load in an iso room or just a monitor with an attenuator. All great sounding options and it is easy to move around. Great quality construction! Hope Mesa stays top notch despite having been aquired. After all, Gibson Brands has a way with read more burrying companies.

Mesa/Boogie Mini Rectifier 1x12" 60-watt Angled Extension Cabinet - Black with Cream & Black Grille

The Recto 25 head and this cabinet are a great combination. I have a matching set. Some say Boogies are too complicated. The Recto 25 is simple and strait forward while still giving options that Mesas are famous for. It has a beautiful clean channel with two different modes. You could do a whole gig with the "Pushed Mode" and your guitar volume knob. The Lead channel has two modes read more as well and I tend to leave it in the "Vintage Mode". You want more gain, then they have the "Modern Mode" and it's a thing to behold. 25 Mesa watts are quite loud and this rig passed the outside gig test. I've had many Mesas over the years and a Boogie that doesn't weigh a ton is a great thing. I also have the Mark V 25 which is even smaller and lighter. I suggest you get one before the quality changes. They were recently bought, and that usually doesn't baud well for quality in the future. This probably makes Boogies eve more collectable. Randell Smith invented "The Boutique Amp" and the overdrive being built into the amp. They rarely need service and when they due it's usually tubes.

Sounds bigger than it looks

Bought this little guy with a matching "black & creme" Mesa Rectoverb 25 head. It did take a week or so to start breaking in a fairly-stiff Celestion V30. As I was learning how sensitive and interactive the tone controls were, the speaker started to loosen up and really blossom. I've had other guitar players come over to play it and to play their Marshall Studio series and Orange read more Terrors through it. All have been impressed. One guy who is an Orange owner said that he definitely thought this cabinet had more punch than his respective Orange 1x12 cabinet (that also has a V30). He also noted that it was better quality construction than his cab. My buddy the Marshall guy will never be impressed by anything that doesn't have a Marshall badge on it, but he played his amp through it for twice as long as the Orange owner. His only concession was that it "had more low end". Hs also the type of guy who will bash anything that he thinks is inferior to setting he owns (don't we all know someone like this?) and he really didn't say anything negative about the Rectoverb 25 or this cabinet, even after he ran his Marshall through it. I'm also using this setup in a small townhouse with the amp typically on a 10w setting. While I haven't had any complaints from the neighbors, it's hard for me to justify either an additional matching cab or larger cab given how much volume the amp and cab put out. My advice is to play your amp with as many different competitive products and to be honest with yourself on what 1) sounds best and 2) whether or not the construction/speaker/hardware is worth your hard-earned money.
