Bad with the DSL 1 Watt
I got this in a package deal with the DSL 1 watt head. It has bad low end, unpleasant mids, and shrill highs. I cant imagine why anyone would put this speaker with any Marshall. It actually did sound pretty good with my Blackheart little giant though. That head always sounded flat and dead to me, but this cab brought it to life. So that led me to believe that the speaker is… read more good in the right pairing, just not with the DSL. At any rate, I bought this to go with my dsl head, and it sounds terrible with that.
Gets the job done
Seems to be well made and sounds good. I did upgrade the stock speaker with shortly after purchase to a Celestion G12M-65 Watt Creamback which pushed the sound over the top!
Good cab. Does the job.
Sounds very good. Clear highs and lows. Will only sound better when it breaks in. Using the dsl1 with it. Gonna hook up my dsl40 and see how higher power sounds.
Marshall Crunch & Tone
It's got Marshall crunch and tone, to thrill mere mortals to the bone. Yeah, I like it!
MX112R 1x12 Cabinet
I paired this thing with a DSL1R head and works perfect in my living room. You can crank the gain and saturate the tone and not have the police called on you. I was surprised by how much bass you can get out of it. Great cab. Highly recommend for small areas.
