I used this product when it first came out.
I forgot all about this product. Used it back in the 80s and loved it! It does exactly what it claims to. I ordered 2, one for my gig bag and one for my studio. Cant wait to see how many memories the scent will bring back. Glad to see this product is still around.
You have to know the secret
I have been using this stuff for ages, primarily because I prefer the little jazz picks (Fender #358 style) and when your hands start to sweat they can be hard to handle. Gorilla Snot is the solution. The guys that claim that it gets all over things are not wrong, but there's a solution for that also. You have to apply a little snot on one side of the pick and then let it sit for… read more a day or two. Hopefully you have enough picks that you can rotate through them and let the treated picks dry off a bit. They will still be sticky, utb it will not get beyond your fingers. Again, I've used this method successfully for almost 40 years.
Forget gaff tape: Gorilla Snot binds the Universe together.
This stuff is spectacular. I've used it since the year it was invented and it's never let me down. I don't know if I would use it for drumsticks (yuck!) but for guitar picks it's amazing. You sweat, you play hard, your pick stays where you need it to. The original motto from 1987: "Gorilla Snot: Put some Snot on it before it gets away!" :)
Gorilla snot
I sure am glad I bought this stuff, Gorilla snot has resolved my pick slippage. Best stuff sense Carter made liver pills. All you need is the slightest amount. If you use to much it won’t work as well. Just buy it’s well worth it and it will last forever because you just need the slightest amount
Finally! I can hold onto a pick.
I've been playing guitar 55+ years and have always had a problem not with dropping my pick, but the pick rotating between my thumb and first finger. This typically only happens when playing "funk" style music, with the right hand "engine" causing it to rotate. I just played about 5 hours of funk and with Gorilla snot and my normal grip I had no problems. I'm so jazzed! This… read more stuff is not like a glue or adhesive. It just makes your fingers (and pick) very tacky. It kind of smells like tree sap. It may be made from it? If you have a problem with dropping picks or picks rotating between your fingers, try it.
