Orange PPC212 Cabinet
Very happy with this purchase. Sounds great! Using it with a Victory mk2 countess. Excellent service as always!!
Orange PPC 212
Running a Marshall DSL100HR into this cab... the speakers sound great, with a heavy bottom end and clear (but not shrieking) highs. Construction of the cab is phenomenal, tough exterior with classic looks. The only detractor is that the cab is really heavy for a 212, but the sonic payoff is worth every ounce.
Worth every penny!
I own both an OR15H and a CR120H which both of these Orange heads pair perfectly with this cabinet. Make no mistake about this cab, this 2x12 is plenty loud enough to play with a full band. The cab is only 16 ohms, so if you want a cab with both 8 and 16, you might want to look elsewhere. This doesn't bother me and I'm glad it's only 16 ohms. The sound of this cabinet is a little… read more brighter, but that is not a bad thing at all. Individual notes and chords are clear and articulate; making it a versatile cabinet for all styles of music. I tested this out with a variety of tunings, including E standard, D standard, C standard, and B standard. All of those tunings are from different guitars and sounded awesome. Cleans and distorted tones sounded great through this cab. I've read that the reason Orange didn't put casters on this is because the strips on the bottom of it gives it a better bass response. The cabinet is heavy, but I also used to own a vintage Peavey 2x12 that was much heavier than this cab. The build quality on this cab is awesome and I didn't find a single flaw with it.
Best 2x12 Cab
I love my new ppc212 it rocks I up graded from a Marshall Origins 2x12 witch was fine but the orange blows the Marshall out the water and yes I know Marshall make Some amazing 2x12s but your have to pay lol some people say it's a little pricey for a 2x12 but you totally get what you pay for Quality work for sure that sound from Celestion vintage 30 speakers hit the spot every time… read more would definitely purchase again thank you sweetwater!!!!!!
Worth the weight
This cab is just killer! Crush a few protein shakes before you have to move this though.
