A fair shot...

I'll be blunt, I didn't like these at first. I had a pickup in my guitar that I don't totally enjoy at the time and I almost immediately dismissed these as mediocre. Since then I've put my favorite humbucker back in (that I have intimate knowledge of) and I can finally hear a difference. Previously I was using dunlop primetone 1.4mm's and I have been very satisfied with them read more (plus I've been using them for a couple of years and I'm just used to them) but I didn't know that they were deadening the notes during my initial attack of the strings (whereas the graphtech's do not). Perhaps that is related to the difference in thickness, but I digress... I also hear just a SLIGHT boost in the ... richness is the best word I can come up with, of the midrange during the 'bloom' of the note. The differences I hear are fairly minimal (somewhere in the 5-10% range) compared to the dunlop's I was using. I only hear them enough to describe them because I'm sitting directly in front of my amp. In a live setting I doubt these differences would be heard by anyone except the most sensitively eared audiophiles. BUT, if you're looking for a pick material that doesn't get in the way of your sound, is easy to grip and wears better than average I can't recommend these enough.

Compared to a similarly sized tortex pick, there's a bit more picking noise for me. They wear very slowly for me but this thinner guage made me lose some attack and a bit of low end. I think a thicker size will help remedy that.

Awesome but fast wear

My favorite picks. Usually, I don't like little picks like Jazz picks or Tortex for good rythm tone, This one is awesome for both rythm/solo but wear very fast. Be prepared to buy a lot. $$
