Honestly, these are the best mandolin picks I've ever used. These picks drive out less treble and shrillness from anything they touch, and that's essentially exactly what you want on (most) mandolins. Most mandolin picks are pretty close to round, and I really enjoy the point of this for that instrument. Tremolo is really easy but you still maintain clarity, it's like the perfect read more middle ground. The material sticks to my fingers really well but slides off metal easily with minimal pick noise. Not particularly my favorite on acoustic guitar, though they might be good with a brighter, smaller body that already has a lot of treble. I don't have one to try that out on. But for mandolin I've tried them all, Blue chip, Wegen, Red bear, Charmed life, Dunlop. Seriously, if you name it I've probably tried it, and this is my favorite above all.

Lacking articulation.

I was hoping to like these new picks from Taylor but the tips are just too rounded to produce an articulate sound for single note runs, The (missing) tip is more like a mandolin pick than a guitar pick. Works better for strumming, thought at 1.5mm it's lacking as you generally get better strumming out of a pick half of this thickness.
