Seems like corners were cut, poor quality control

Just received this and I guess my expectations were a little high. I normally use a Levy's 3" strap and wanted to save a little money. Here is what I've noticed, from the pics in this listing and from seeing it in person:1. Tons of loose threads where it was sewn together; resolved by snipping close and using lighter to melt the ends 2. Strap ends are very thin and do not inspire… read more confidence for heavier instruments, like bass guitar3. The 3" and 2" portions of the strap are connected by a cheap feeling piece of plastic; may not hold up well to abuse4. The end of the padded 3" portion where it meets the upper horn portion of the strap seems unfinished, cut sloppily, and sewn together.Attached some pics to help show some of the things I've mentioned. The crushed velvet portion seems normal, though it'll just take time to see how well it does with regular use.

Very comfortable, beautiful color, but you can't tighten the strap. It hangs very low and can't be raised. So disappointed!!

I bought this strap as I own a very heavy Sting Ray that's more often than not strapped to my knees, and unfortunately if that's what you're going for, it's not for you. I had bought this strap expecting it to be longer as another review had stated that it is ridiculously long and they're 5'11 (I'm 6'0) but it's a bit short for that. I got this strap and it is very nice! Gave it a 5.0 it's that good. Just asked Ryan if he can special order another color for me. LM Rep if you read this Crushed Velvet Blood Red, Forest Green, or Royal Blue please! I'm 5'9 and had no problem with the length like the previous review.

3" wide strap is very comfortable on my old shoulder. Extra points for the sweet purple velvet on the front. I've had it for a month now, and it seems very sturdy. My only complaint is I have it as short as it will go, and it's just a hair too long for me, but I can live with it.
