Nice Variety
Great way to tryout new picks. I tend to use lighter picks for acoustic guitar and heavier picks for electric. The Ultex .60mm is my favorite for acoustic, but I also like the Gator grip .58mm, the Tortex .60mm, and the celluloid thin. Just depends on what kind of feel and sound I'm looking for. I find the Tortex .73mm my favorite for electric guitar. They all serve a different… read more purpose, so you really can't go wrong with any of the picks in this pack.
A Bass Player's Perspective
On a bass guitar, these thin picks sound okay. None of them feel too flimsy to play with, but they lack the heavy tone I like. The only picks that really resonated with me were the Gator Grips and the regular Tortex picks. Honestly, a Gator pick's grip is barely better than a regular Tortex pick's grip. They both feel great, though. For bass specifically, these thin picks feel amazing… read more when you're doing a lot of alternate strumming. Rancid's Bass Player Mat Freeman uses a .60 Tortex, and I can definitely feel why. If you're a guitarist looking for an ultra light guitar pick, this probably isn't for you. If you're a bassist looking for a light pick, these are absolutely worth it. Although I don't think I'll be using any of these on my bass again, it's always fun to try them out and collect the ones you don't use.
Good Picks, Good Variety
This is a pretty cheap and pretty reliable variety pack of Dunlop Picks (Dunlop is also a long-standing, trusty and reliable company, as they were founded by a Scotsman in California in 1965, so they’ve been around for a while). You get a good variety of picks, some smooth, some rough, some stronger, some thinner, so you’ll find a pick that you’ll like best in this variety… read more pack and there all very good quality, no Turtles harmed or massacred.
Dunlop PVP101 Pick Variety Pack - Light/Medium
I ordered these as I bought a new Guild F-250CE. I change string from light to medium to heavy every so often and wanted a variety pack of picks to try with different sets of strings. This what I needed without having to buy 10 of each and then not using them. Good selection, great picks. Thanks !
Great variety
