Best picks I've tried
I've only been playing guitar for a little under two years at this point, but I still think these are the best picks I've tried (and they aren't the only ones I've tried). They absolutely nail being sturdy without being stiff. Even the really thin ones (which are nice for playing quickly) hold up great, and the thicker ones are solid enough to get big heavy bass guitar strings to… read more notice that you're playing them.
Going with the flow
I bought this variety pack to try all the sizes. I really like the big fat ones allowing me to relax my grip and let the tip of the beveled edges glide and flow across the strings. They really lend a clean attack allowing the strings to ring out. It does take some getting used to the fat feel, but it's worth it for the improvement of tone, dynamics, harmonics and control.
I like these
I like the tones, the feel, the control, the slippery way they'll run through the strings when that's what I want and yet they give me what I want when I change how I hold them or change my attack. The others were way… read more too thick for what I do. That's how it goes with variety packs though. I usually go for Gravity picks. Now I'm pretty sure I'll be using these from now on.
A truly fine set of picks
Bought this set mainly for my Yamaha FG-820L and so far I've been impressed with their durability and overall design. As of today, I've been testing out the picks in the .73-1.0mm range and those just might be the ones I'll end up going with the most. Eventually, I'll get around to trying the whole pack out on my 1974-75 Gibson EB-3L and see how they fare. Really fun to play around… read more with, I must admit. Nice price, too!
The best picks I've ever used.
These are hands down the best picks I've ever used. I've been playing 20+ years, and I've always struggled with playing speed while using flat picks. The second I laid this pick on the strings I knew I'd never go back to a flat pick ever again. To me these picks feel like a refinement of the Jazz III. The beveled edges give a extremely smooth release. And to my ear they have a warmer,… read more fuller sound.
