I purchased this to see if it would work as a economical rack for a collection of frame drums in my studio. It works fine for this and I can lay some mallets and beaters across the top section. Build quality is fine and as always, Sweetwater ships quickly and takes care of their customers.
The Stand I Needed at a Reasonable Price

This is a good stand that does what it's supposed to. Our band needed a compact stand to hold guitars, bass and banjo in a tight space and this is perfect, as it doesn't take up a lot of floor space. It folds flat for easy transport. Please note a couple of minor aspects: my sample has an extra set of screw holes towards the front legs of the stand that are not shown on the assembly… read more diagram. These holes are for securing the front horizontal bar where the instruments rest. Just use the set of holes closest to the end of the front legs. Also, on my sample the rubber feet and the inserts on the end of each of the five bars on top that separate the guitars had a loose fit. No biggie; I just wrapped some tape around the metal and put the feet and inserts back in and now everything's a tight fit. The price was right, especially considering the free shipping.

5 guitar Rack was easy to build, very sturdy and it's collapsible .. hang my cables on it as well , I'll buy another one if I keep buying guitars after guitars ..

I am able to reduce floorspace clutter, better protect my axes, and enjoy a portable and secure parking spot for five basses, all in one swoop! Do your instruments and yourself a favor and get this rack or (like I did because, they're so cost effective) three of them.
