Very Impressed!

Firstly, I'll be completely honest in saying that I'm sure that my playing ability doesn't do this guitar justice in any way but this guitar is absolutely beautiful even if just look at. I'm much more on the amateur side of the skills spectrum when it comes to guitar. That being said, right out of the box, without any kind of setup of the action or changing the strings, I can definitely read more tell that playability of this guitar is much easier and faster than any of the other guitars I've ever owned. Again, keep in mind that I'm an amatuer so I don't have a library of guitars to compare it with. Especially mid range guitars, so take it for what its worth. ;) Secondly, I just wanted to say that in my quest to find the right mid-range guitar, the Coupe wasn't even being considered. I was originally looking at an ESP E-ii series and the Schecter Solo-ii. I orignially stumbled across it when was looking through the Sweetwater page for the Schecter Single Cut style guitars. I was taken in by the beauty of it and started doing some research. There wasn't a lot that came up but the few things I did find were absolutely fantastic it terms of how it was rated and what people thought of it. Don't get me wrong, there was a lot of fantastic material I found about the other two I was considering and it was a lot more plentiful. So how did I end up with a guitar that is such a far cry from the two I was originally looking at? Well, after watching Darrell Braun's review (he's got a great YouTube, Darrell Braun Guitar) as well as a comparison video of the Coupe and the Gretsch from GuitarraMX I realized how verstile this guitar was. I'm a sucker for versitility since I have a pretty diverse pallet when it comes to music. Couple that with the sheer beauty of the Coupe and I was sold on this guitar. In terms of tones it is very verstile. It has marvelous tones for blues, jazz, rock, classical, progressive and can even venture into some light metal. My thoughts are this is mostly due to splittable Tesla pickups that it comes with. These humbuckers can produce some very nice clear & crisp clean tones while also being able to throw out great crunch tones with out batting an eyelash. The Bigsby feature is absolutely fantastic. It definitely not only adds to the beauty and uniqeness of the guitar but it adds an entirely different dynamic to all of the tones are able to get from the guitar. The other thing I noticed is that this guitar has some fantastic sustain. Though I'm not 100% sure if thats the pickups or due to the fact that it's a hollow body. Even when playing without and amp it's loud enough to hear and the tones carry. Again, I'm on the amateur side of the house and this is my first hollow body electric guitar so take it for what its worth. At the end of the day, I think Darrell Braun is 100% correct in his assessment of this guitar. It's everything I want it to be and much more. I'm sure I'll be growing into this guitar for some time. This guitar is a lot of fun to play and it has definitely inspired me get back into playing more than I was. Hope this review was helpful!

Worth The Wait.

I pre-ordered this guitar and waited for it to arrive for around 3 months. All the while, my man Aaron Andersen kept me up to date. It finally arrived and I had a setup done by Sweetwater. This guitar looks good, feels good and plays good. Pickups are smooth and clear and sound nice playing everything I've thrown at them. If you're looking for a nice hollowbody, regardless of whether read more you have to wait on it, I'd highly suggest this one. On top of the fact that it's a really nice guitar, they seem to be somewhat rare. Can't thank Sweetwater enough for getting this thing setup and sent out to me and keeping me updated on the pre-order process.
