Works great!

I had changed the pickups in my telecaster and didn't realize I put some very noticeable scratches in the finish. I looked around at a lot of different brands and truthfully I bought this one because the price was very reasonable - not knowing what to expect. I have to tell you, I am thoroughly pleased with the results. It didn't take much to have the scratches completely gone! read more Highly recommended.

This stuff really works! I also have their guitar polish, it works great too! I've been using another brand, won't say the name, but I changing to lizard spit! If the rest of their products are as good it will be the only brand I'll use.

Works great

I had minor scratches in the clear coat of my mahogany PRS S2. I used step 1 and with medium pressure as the instructions said, it got rid of the scratches, but also made the clear coat look slightly hazy where I used it ( I could see the haze when I tilted the guitar in the light). After using step 2 twice with medium pressure, the haze was gone and the gloss was back and no read more more scratches. I just wish the step 2 bottle was the same size as the step 1. You only need to use a pea sized amount, but it's very watery and squeezing it out of the bottle could cause you to use too much. Just something to be aware of. Overall, I'm please with the results.

Very effective on superficial scratches

I've used it on numerous guitars, new and old, including two 49 year old high gloss guitars. As far as light scratches go, this product is 100% perpetually effective. With more vigorous use, it can remove slightly deeper palpable scratches such that you can't tell that there was ever a scratch there.

Lizard Spit scratch remover/polish on slipped needle nose scratch

Scratched my gloss black Pacifica head with needle nose pliers between the 3rd and 4th tuner. Gouged the paint enough to catch a finger nail. Although Lizard Spit is meant for light scratches, It was able to remove the gouge and return the paint to a nice gloss finish. I tried the product on other light surface scratches and removed them quickly. But, since this scratch was so deep, read more it took about 2 hours of off and on work rubbing the affected area for about a minute and a half at a time reapplying 1/4 pea size drop of the product at every interval. The product was used in conjunction with the fine side of a History microfiber cloth. My only complaints is that it took about 15 minutes to notice any difference in this instance but this was probably due to the severity of the scratch and that there is not a 3 step version that is formulated for heavy scratches. Overall great product.
