Got the guitar in time. Condition is very good. I love this seagull maritime very much. Just took a play on it, the action is good as what my sales technician told me. I would like to appreciate my sales technician Jacob Leonhardt and Kingsley. They both helped me a lot. Nice experience shopping in Sweetwater.

Nice Mid-range Guitar

John

I purchased my Seagull nearly a year ago and meant to do this review after about only a month or two...a bit late, but here goes. This is my fourth acoustic, as I also own a Martin D-14 Special Ovangkol, a Martin DM and an Ovation Viper. Overall, the Seagull is a nice mid-range guitar. It is slightly shallower, more like a OOO body, than a true dreadnought. It produces a nice read more sound, but it is definitely more mid-range, leaning towards treble, in its tone than a Martin. Even the Special D Martin that I own, which is identical in size to the Seagull, has a deeper, more balanced tone. All of that said, the fact that this Seagull is an acoustic/electric means you can adjust the sound when plugged in, so any lack of bass can be massaged. The only negative I really have is build quality. The workmanship could be improved. There is slight gap, bass side, between the binding and neck, where the neck attaches to the body. The top bracing, visible just inside the sound-hole, is quite jagged...and I'm not saying it needs a sanding, it literally is misshaped AND needs a sanding. In fairness, this isn't a $1500+ guitar, so those faults can be forgiven. All in all, I'm happy with it. If you are looking for an all-solid wood, smaller dreadnought w/pickup, at a very decent price, this is the guitar for you. I have to add that the service by Sweetwater, with the help of my sales engineer, Chris Barry, was excellent...as it always is! Thanks Chris, and thank you Sweetwater!!
