They do break, but fixable!

The tuners are great at tuning. I switched over to the SN5X due to the weird rubber coating getting soft and sticky as some other reviewers have experienced as well. As far as the parts breaking they are fixable with just a zip tie! And the tuner is a good as new.

Don't remember my sales rep name (sorry) only bought from Sweetwater a couple times but I don't purchase online music equipment anywhere else. My sales rep called me on this small purchase just to assure me my order had been packaged and shipped. I love it. I trust them tremendously, their customer support unlike any I've experienced. Oh yea and you can't go wrong with these Snark read more tuners they are the best, screen is bright works perfectly.

THIS IS A GREAT TUNER FOR ME !!!

Greetings folks, I own the following guitars, a Fender 6-string acoustic/electric, a Hohner 12-string acoustic, and a Gibson 6-sting electric. The Snark tuner works very well on all if them. The display is very easy to see and measures pitch change in small increments. I'm very happy with these tuners (I purchased two) and I would happily recommend this tuner to a friend. Please read more read the instructions before using the tuner.

Using my Snark SN-1X for 10 years and it is going strong!

I have an original, blue, Snark SN-1x clip on tuner going on 10 years now and it just won't quit. I actually can't believe I haven't lost the thing, left it somewhere or accidentally sat on it after all this time and its many uses (gigs, practices, lessons, bedroom jamming). I got 2 of the new Super Snark HZ's to go with my trusty SN-1x so I have one in the studio, one in my gig read more bag and one in my room. They all tune accurately, they track low bass notes well on a 4 string, the battery lasts a decent time (and can be replaced by batteries from the 1 greenback store), the read outs are clear and most importantly, the display can be rotated so you don't have to be a sideways reader like with so many other clip on tuners out there. And yes, I've tried other clip on tuners (Korg, Fishman) and the quality was just cheap and they ended up broken, in the garbage or given away because they were just inferior to these. Just so you know, mostly just use the HZ tuners in their standard setting like the SN-1x but when you really want to get fine tuned for doing something like setting up intonation and such, it is a nice feature and IMHO worth the extra cost. I'm finding more and more now a days that trying to get service on a lot of the products we buy is getting more and more difficult in this throw away society we have become especially with many products being made over seas. I had a very minor wear and tear issue with my 10 year old Snark SN-1x recently (2/2020). I contacted Michelle from Snarks customer service (available on their website) and not only did I receive a quick reply to my e-mailed concern but Snark seriously exceeded my expectations on how they handled the issue (my old Snark is way out of warranty by 9 years)! I'll say it again, my 10 year old SN-1X is working like the day I bought it and I really don't expect any issues with my new Super Snark HZ's as well. These are all just well designed, convenient little units with a smart, innovative company backing up their products.
