I bought several of the mini jack kits, they perform great, easy to use once you learn how it works. BUT (big but), there is no replacement wire sold by D'Addario. When it comes time to re-build your board, you'll be stuck with only the amount of wire you have previously bought. Confusingly, D'Addario DOES sell American Stage Solderless cable in bulk. But it's too large of a… read more diameter to be used with the Mini Jacks. It's "instrument cable" instead of "pedalboard cable". This is a huge problem for re-usability and long term investment. The jacks are super high quality and they'll last for years... BUT getting more wire to use them with isn't going to be easy. I contacted D'Addario support and they offered to send me 5ft. of replacement wire for free (not enough), stating "we don't have these available for purchase yet on our website". Hinting that they will be adding the wire for purchase at some point, but I've had these for nearly 2 years now so that seems like it may never happen.

Super easy to use. Cut cables, screw-in the connection and you're done. Great for odd lengths of cable needed for pedal boards and for getting the connection to point in the direction you need when a regular cable just isn't fitting right.

I put together a TON of these cables for my pedalboard rebuild. 18 cables all varying lengths. They get easier the more you make them. So far I notice no difference in signal quality or build quality. I would recommend to anyone who can't solder but wants a clean board. Thanks always to Mitch for helping me with the order!

This was my first go at the DIY instrument cable kit. I needed several varied length cables for my keyboards to clean up the mess. This kit worked great! And it takes almost no time at all. Quality seems really good too.
