But my daughter can't use it because she can't understand sharps. The notes are all displayed as sharps, not flats and she won't learn them so it's useless to her...

The tuner works as advertised. It's secure, responsive, and easy to read. I can't attest to the battery life, but if it's like my other Snarks it will be a few years before I have to worry about that.

Bought this item because my daughter had an old tuner where you had to plug the cable in so I purchased this one great product I love it works very easy
