The standard (not "cheater") version of the Groovetech Truss Rod driver was recommended to me by the folks at Mike Lull Custom guitar works, makers of some of the best basses you can get. Lull uses a vintage-style truss rod screw and this driver engages it cleanly. I've also used it on Fender instruments with vintage truss rods. Highly recommended!
