Bought this to go along with the sv20 head. Does not disappoint. Very capable of handling the brights and the lows. Money well spent!!!!!

The guitar player community begged for this size/style/configuration of cabinet for ages. It looks great, it's well built and reasonable to transport. This along with the companion Marshall head in Plex, JCM800 or Jubilee has the promise of being the ultimate balance for today's guitar professional. To increase my options, I bought a pair of these so I could go wet/dry/wet Stereo read more or just old school 4-12". The moment I plugged them into my regular head and pedalboard we all knew something wasn't right. These were painful. I immediately started tweaking my setup but nothing sounded good let alone great. I even tried just using one and trying them with different heads. The final characteristics were inescapable. This was a speaker not well suited to guitar regardless of style or genre. They are insanely bright in the upper mids and generally non-musical drivers. I love the look, size and build quality so I bit the bullet and swapped speakers. I simply took the drivers out of my Marshall 1960 cab for one and I used some classic greenbacks for the other. Wow! Magic. Both sounded great. I have since experimented with a variety of drivers and settled on using the Celestions from my 1960 cab in both. Both Celestions and Marshall are experienced and qualified but the fact that neither company saw the V Series drivers as a mistake surprises me a lot. The bottom line? If you can budget a driver swap, you will love them. If you cannot, don't waste your time as these are not guitar friendly IMO.

Sounds excellent, not too heavy to move

I bought the SV20H and figured I had to have the matching cab. I've always been an open back 12 guy so I did not expect a lot. OMG, it sounds great. I've A/B's it against my other cabs and it sounds significantly better, fuller, etc. The other things that's great is that it is just the right size and weight to still be practical to move. I gig a ton and I am not interested in heavy read more things. It works. Worth every penny.

Brand Envy!

I just recently picked up the new studio vintage Plexi head and just had to add this beautiful cabinet to the purchase. The two together just look incredible. Let"s face it. Some brands and logos just make you feel good in this world. The Marshall face plate on top of the vintage tan grill cloth just looks freaking cool. But how does it sound? In a word, fantastic! The vintage read more voiced speakers in this cab pair up wonderfully with yeh plexi head. But this cab would sound great with any head. Deep enough to give you plenty of bottom end but not flubby. Plenty of bite and high end without sounding brittle. Is it worth $...? It was to me, I"m aware at least a few hundred of that purchase price was to acquire the name and brand. I"m ok with that. Highly recommend this cab to anyone. Thanks to Richard Whittington for help with my purchase. He"s a great guy!
