My family has owned Martin guitars since the 40's.I have two and decided to try out the Takamine EF314DX. The feel, sound and quality are superb. The on board tuner is a nice feature.I highly recommend this gem. As with every purchase, Sweetwater customer service and shipping was 5 stars.

Great Value

I'm a mediocre rhythm guitar player but I've owned most of the top brands (Martin,Guild,Taylor,Breedlove and others) My sales engineer Geoff Allen an attest to that fact because he sold most of them to me. LOL Guitars are like any instrument, a matter of personal choice and taste. This particular Takamine model with the cedar top and maple body is a joy to play. It boast a big read more balanced sound even with the cutaway. The neck is very comfortable, easy to chord, and as with all Takamine guitars the sound when plugged in rivals any other top acoustic/electric brand. The built in tuner, EQ and other onboard features makes it a truly versatile guitar. The build quality, finish, etc., is typical of Takamine "Japan" made instruments...excellent. This guitar will compliment your playing whether you're a solo singer/writer, or playing in a group. You will not be disappointed in this quality instrument.

Very nice guitar

I've owned several Gibson acoustics over the years and all were great as you can imagine. With the Gibson's, however, I just wasn't able to get comfortable with the neck. It was very difficult for me to get over the Gibson, but, long story short, I love this guitar. Plays extremely well. I upgraded to the 341DX for the simple cosmetics and couple other upgrades over the 341SC. read more I still have my Les Paul Standard, but acoustically, this Takamine is great! Highly recommend. Call for Ian Lemberg. He'll take good care of you!

WOW !!! Talk about someone being nervous. I have never purchased a guitar on line before. I am the kind of guy who is wanting to hold things in my hand and hear it in person. But I spent about three weeks or more looking and listening to every video on youtube about Takamine's. I started looking at Taylor's because I can pick them up at the guitar center and Sam Ash. Years read more ago I went back and forth when I purchased my Yamaha APX 5 over a Takamine. I liked the feel and sound of both, but ended up buying the Yamaha. I watched the video of the Factory in Takamine, Japan it was fantastic watching the craftsmanship. I have been wanting a higher quality guitar for a while. I narrowed it down to 4 of the Takamines. I printed all the stats and went over everything I could in comparing. I am NO professional just play for fun and at Church. One of the Local Musicians we frequently go watch did a like for Sweetwater. I looked them up and went to the Website about a hundred times. I finally got the B***s to call and I talked with Drake Sobehrad at Sweetwater nice guy. I bombarded him with questions on the phone and in e-mails asking everything about the 4 models I was interested in and about the guitar to shipping and what would happen if it was damaged. He was Knowledgeable and ask me a lot of questions about how I played and how long I have been playing. Then he did give me a nudge towards the EF 341 DX ( which was the one I kind of had my heart on already ) but he did also say that any on the models I had chosen would also do fine. He did not push me to pick on Price but ask more about my style. Now to the Takamind EF 341 DX I loved the look it's condition was perfect when it arrived in Florida. I strummed it a few times then let it set for two days in the music room. Went in tuned it up and played unplugged for about a half hour. Then plugged into my Fender amp and wow so clear and full sounds played for a while until my face hurt from smiling. I spent almost a hour playing yesterday. I can say this guitar is a 10 for sure and if you are a real guitar player I'm sure you can make it sound much better than me. In the picture the finish is so shiny you can see my wife taking the picture. Thanks Drake and Sweetwater for all your help I made my purchase in Apirl 2020
