Takamine GN20CE-NS review

My first acoustic. I wanted something with a similar neck to an SG and a relatively low action for practice. The Tac was recommended by a friend and I am happy with it. The body seems thick, but I'm used to much thinner electric guitars. The intonation is dead on. The neck is smooth and well shaped. The frets are nicely polished and smooth on the sides of the neck. It feels really read more sturdy and sounds good too. The pre-amp sounds excellent plugged into my Orange amp and the built in tuner is a handy feature.

Oh man Aaron, This thing sounds and plays like a dream! Nice and buttery action. Thanks so much, I love it! It is everything I knew it would be! 25 years ago I found a Takamine in a shop of some kind and it had a bullet hole in it and still sounded and played great. They wanted $60 bucks more than I had and so I couldn't get it. I swore I was going to own one someday. and thanks read more to you I now have it! Again, I love it!

Great Acoustic for the money!!! Even the lower end Takamine has a beautiful tone and playablity..... Love playing this plugged in or just sitting around. Takamine has one of the finest EQ's in the business. Will always play Takamine...

After a minor FedEx SNAFU concerning delivery, I finally got this beauty. As all my Sweetwater purchases, it came well-packed; so well, it was practically still in tune. The fit & finish are excellent, and it sounds & plays great with & without an amp. The neck carve is perfect for me, sort of a flattened "C" shape, and the satin finish looks really nice; kind of understated while read more allowing the wood grain to show through. I would definitely recommend this guitar to anyone, of any skill level.
