Best acoustic guitar I've ever played

Sandy Harless

I have owned over 50 guitars in my life. I've owned Martins, Taylors, PRS, Gibsons, Fenders, Ovations and several Takamines. This guitar has the best feel of any guitar I've ever owned. I can play it for hours with no discomfort at all. It begs to be played. With the Cool Tube pre-amp, I expected to have excellent amplified tone, but I am amazed at the pure acoustic tone the read more guitar has. Perfectly balanced with gorgeous low end sustain. The guitar literally sings. As for the electronics, the tube sounds great, but I'm even more impressed with the notch filter. In addition to the regular tone controls, the notch filter gives extremely precise control to shape the tone. I can't imagine ever needing another acoustic guitar.

Best plugged in acoustic sound, period!

Heard a friend play a Takamine at a gig. He was accompanying a female vocalist. It was him and her only. The acoustic guitar tone blew me away. I knew I had to get one! The neck is a bit chunky but the fretboard is as smooth as silk. Playability is fast and comfortable. Sweetwater gave me a great deal and it arrived at my door in about 3 days. The P5NC is a great gigging guitar!

Why I love & bought this guitar: 1) Sleek, glossy looking guitar, lovely head stock design, abalone rosette and sound hole matching fret board 2) Body size is perfect - smaller, easier to hold than dreadnought guitars without sacrificing projection loudness 3) Sweet audio fidelity from warm low to the crystal clear high sound 4) Premium choice of materials used to construct the read more guitar - rosewood, mahogany and spruce 5) Ergonomically designed neck of smooth mahogany with a desirable 42.5 mm width 6) Comes with archtop hard shell case, lock, strap and strap pins, sticker and microfiber cloth accessories 7) Built in tuner as part of the CoolTube preamp electronic component 8) Can be plugged into an amp 9) Has cutaway for reaching high frets 10) Very good weight balance body vs neck and doesn't feel too light, feels really solid in the hand 11) Good pricing - doesn't feel cheap and doesn't break the bank Worth every cent. Extremely happy to have bought it. Thank you Sweetwater. Thank you Takamine.

Best Plugged in Sound - PERIOD

Hey everybody...I have been playing my P5NC now for a few years. She has become my #1. I have many other high end acoustics but at the end of the day, when I have a gig, I grab the Tak. Through my Bose L2 and AER amp....well.... its sonic heaven. My good buddy that is in his own band came up to me the other night at my show and said...."You have achieved studio quality acoustic read more guitar sound live." Best compliment I ever did receive. Don't have to take my word for it, just look at what the pros are playing. They can afford any guitar, what are they gigging with? By far the best electronics in the industry...the cool tube pre is the break through of the century. If it wasn't so invasive, I would put Tak electronics in all my acoustics. Moon Dog

The P5NC Has a beautiful bright sound When you"re playing with a pick, and a clear sound when you"re fingerpicking. Their guitar shop is amazing they do a great set up on the guitar before they ship it"s well worth the cost of having it done I recommend it.The P5NC is a amazing guitar well worth the price if you want a great deal on this guitar call Chris Jenkins extension 1716. read more Very knowledgeable and Excellent at his job. with that being said the only complaint I have is the factory guitar cases that come with the guitars. they are very poorly made This is the third one out of four Takamine(P5DC)(EF341SC)(GB7C)(P5NC) I"ve purchased at sweetwater That were defective from the factory. i"m considering upgrading all my cases to hardshell cases true hardshell cases.
