In love with this guitar

I have only had my Taylor 314ce for a short time but I already love it. Going from an inexpensive "beginner's" acoustic guitar to this intermediate Taylor model is like being in two different worlds. The sound and feel of the guitar are incredible. I wasn't crazy about the finish on the back and sides of the guitar at first (I prefer a glossier finish) but it has grown on me. I… read more haven't had any issues with the Expression System while plugged into GarageBand on my computer or while plugged into my Orange amp, the guitar still sounds great. The only issue I've had with the guitar so far is not wanting to put it down.

This is/was my first Taylor and the feel, sound and action are all fantastic. The guitar is well balanced, light, easy to play and overall just sounds great. Absolutely loved the action, such a great feel along the neck. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because when the guitar is plugged in it does sound a little different then not plugged in. I found the "Expression… read more System" difficult to work with and could not really dial in the right tone I was looking for. The great team here at Sweetwater gave me some tips which helped a little so I called Taylor and unfortunately got no response. Don't let that discourage you. If you're a Taylor fan you will not be disappointed.
