I have always had a bit of a love/hate relationship with Taylors plugged in because of the brightness of their expression system. I got a change to play a bunch of guitars and this one struck me as a wonderful blend of warm and full-bodied from the mahogany but still with the signature Taylor bite that will cut through a mix when playing with a full band. My first impression of the guitar was that it is incredibly light weight and absolutely beautiful to look at, It feels amazing in my hands. The setup done by Sweetwater was spot on. The guitar arrived in tune and ready to play. The neck is shaped perfectly for easy playability. The all mahogany body gives a balanced tone that sounds gorgeous when played alone, but also really… read more compliments spruce top models when playing with others. The new V-Class bracing ands volume and projection that allows this guitar to hold its own when playing with a Dreadnought or other large body models. I highly recommend the 524ce Mahogany as an addition to any guitar players collection regardless of playing ability. You will not be disappointed.
