TAYLOR 812CE 12 FRET V-CLASS
I own a Taylor 814ce and a Taylor K24ce Builders Edition amongst other guitars. I wanted something with a different sound than my other Taylors. I had a 12 Fret Taylor 562CE that I really enjoyed, so I thought I would give this one a try based on friends reviews on the Facebook Taylor owners groups. On the Sweetwater site you have the ability to see the exact guitar that you want… read more and the Rep's will send you photos of your new guitar before you purchase. I picked this one in particular due to the unique striations in the ebony fretboard. Upon receiving it, I was surprised at the lightness of this model in comparison to my other Taylors. The smaller body fits me well, and the shorter fretboard reduces the strain on your fingers! I would recommend this model to anyone who plays fingerstyle and light to medium strumming. In my opinion it sound slightly muddled when strumming heavily, but it is great for me since I do not play that way. When I need more "boom" I simply plug her in! I have become spoiled with the "Arm-Rests" on my other Taylors, so I loved that it was standard on this model! My Rep Phil Shoaff was great to deal with!
