Have lots of Guitars but this guitar gave me a New Breath. Great playability nice tone balanced sound. the only thing that I have to figure out while recording it records low volume maybe the battery is low. Don't know. Other than that its fine and thanks again to Sweetwater team and my great sales Engineer Collin Blue for his top Customer Service...

Good But Not Great

Make no mistake, this is a good guitar. It looks great. The playability is fantastic - as good as any guitar I've ever played. Ever. However, I tried at a local retailer alongside a Martin 000-12e. The Martin was ergonomically very similar, just ever so slightly less playable. Still fantastic to play. And the Taylor does sound good, but the Martin sounded significantly better. read more The other person in the room, who generally doesn't like Martins agreed that the Taylor sounded unquestionably weaker. They were both brand new out of the box, so it couldn't have been dead strings. I own both a Taylor and a Martin. I love my Academy 12 - it punches well above it's weight. If you're primarily going to be using it live, the AD22 would be fine. If you're primarily going to be playing unplugged, you might be disappointed. Plays and feels amazing, though.
