Truly a goldilocks acoustic guitar!

Keith

I'm an adult but I always found full sized guitars a bit large and 25.5 scale a bit long. I owned a GS Mini at first which was great but sometimes wish for something larger sounding (and occasionally felt cramped on the frets). The GT is the perfect guitar for adults who want a smaller guitar without going to "beginners / children" sizes. Like I said, truly a goldilocks! That read more said, the tone reminds me more of Walnut than Mahogany. Its a dry and bright tone and most of its color/overtones live in that range too. I'm still breaking it in though! After trying a few different strings (I find the stock Elixirs to be brighter than most) and swapping in Ebony bridge pins, I now find the tone more balanced. I highly recommend anyone who already owns this guitar to try different strings and swap in Ebony bridge pins. That said, I LOVE Taylor's neck contour and 16" radius is what I'm used to playing (this is close enough at 15"). The chamfered edges are also a nice touch! I wish more guitars had them! Overall, good quality and its made in America!

Very well built guitar - beautiful sound!! The shape and size make it very comfortable for most any sized player. It's my first owned Taylor, I've played a few over the years. I'm so glad I got the Taylor Baby for free with it!! Amazing value.

Great sounding guitar and easy to play!

I own a few acoustic guitars (Martin and Taylor) and while each one has qualities I like, the Taylor GTe Urban Ash guitar is the easiest to play. As most know acoustic guitar players know, acoustic guitars require a little more hand strength to play than electric guitars, but this guitar is set up to play more like an electric guitar. In other words I don't have to press as hard read more to play open chords or bar chords. It sounds great and the size of the guitar is easier to hold. It has an incredible sound. I play at church on Sundays and when I asked others how it sounded, everyone had nothing but compliments. So if you are looking for an acoustic-electric guitar that is easy to play, I think you would love the Taylor GTe Urban Ash guitar.

Great playability, nice size, but…….

I bought this because I needed a smaller, lighter guitar than my 614ce. It plays nicely, intonation is good, feels like a TAYLOR. I wish it had a gloss finish, I just don't care for the "feel" of the mat finish. It really doesn't have much low end, which I expected with the slightly smaller body, but I had hoped for a little better bass tone….you can compensate for this when read more it's plugged in, but it does have a slightly tinny sound. Well built which is typical for a TAYLOR. I purchased this because I have arthritis in my cervical spine and it is a very comfortable guitar to hold and play……

My Dream Guitar.

So much sound and beauty from this guitar! It's unbelievable! Beautiful "Aero Case" gives the best of ALL worlds; Hard case protection with swift case convenience! I can't believe how beautiful and loud this guitar sounds. The neck is wonderful; perfect size and easier to make chords where you have to use your thumb to play (or mute) the low E string. The electronics work read more as well as expected from Taylor. No real need for a cutaway in the design. So glad I bought it from Sweetwater; the packing was excellent and well protected. Thank you for the "Box in a Box" with packing. Great financing options too! And my wife LOVES this guitar! Always a pleasure and an honor to do business with Sweetwater and especially Chris Jenkins! The guitar "smells" nice too! I don't know if it's the wood or the 55 point Sweetwater inspection but it's obvious they went through the instrument. Even got a card with inspectors "Kevin and Jordan" signifying their work. Glad to be a long time Sweetwater customer and thank you. Oh, and of course, thanks for the candy!
