After 10 days I'm very pleased with Sweetwater service and my new Taylor T5Z. So far it is everything I hoped it would be; very high build quality, very versatile tone shaping, and it plays like an electric. This is the first in 65 years that I purchased a guitar without playing it first, but thanks to David Yanes and Sweetwater it's been a very pleasant buying experience.

I got this guitar back in April and have been steadily using it ever since. I just finished recording and producing my first album and I can say with pride that every single acoustic sound (and even some of the heavier electric tones) came from this guitar! It's extremely versatile in what it can do, and it never ceases to amaze me.

This Taylor has to be played to believe. I don't think it really replaces a full acoustic nor a solid body electric, if you're totally pre-disposed that way. At the same time, it provides any guitarist who wants to creatively explore the range of tones anywhere and everywhere and all around the potential for sounds that are jsut not achievable with either an acoustic or an electric.… read more It is exceptionally versatile for recording 'direct-in', and is loud enough to be mic'ed, if desired as well. Again, it may not be for everyone, but if I could only have one guitar this would be the one. I, personally, find it a wonderful supplement to my acoustic and as more of an acoustic player, I really enjoy the jazzy electric and other tones this beauty can help me to keep discovering every time I pick it up!
