Yes, it's tight, but it's great!

One review said the Gator tenor ukulele case was very tight, so I was concerned. Mostly about the head space. I like an open slotted head instead of the tiny head most ukes have. But I really wanted a solid case for my new baby (pictured). I'm not comfortable with a soft case, no matter how much padding they put in it. Anyway, the widest part of the body is very tight. I put six… read more different tenors in it. They all fit the same. Even the 8-string ukulele with a giant head (also pictured). So it's the right case for me. I'll get used to the tight fit. It's the right color and it doesn't have a giant corporate logo on it.

Ordered this case with the Kala archtop tenor uke (online, so I couldn't check fit), and there was no way the instrument could squeeze inside. Also couldn't fit my Lanakai tenor or even my Fender CONCERT-SIZED uke. Pretty disappointing, as the case is otherwise built fine, just a horrible size deficiency.

I like my Uke case. I do wish it was more like the guitar case of the same brand. It does hold my Uke well and I really like the enclosure on the back side vs just the normal three. I may get another of these for my daughters Uke, though I am looking to let her pick her own. I do like its spaciousness to allow for the humidifier that is needed in the house I live in. (Wood burning… read more makes it dry in the winter, normal to excessive humidity in the summer.) We shall see how it does.
