Perfect Tuner and Metronome. - Im here to buy a second.

Pros Has a backlight (2 levels low and high). Others dont. the metronome flashes a big red button in case you cannot hear it. Nice quality display. pitch generator has 3 pitches. (Big range) remembers what note you are on. So you dont have to cycle through the pitches. tap what speed you want the metronome. That is nice. Cons The kickstand is a bit cheap.. but Ill use a music read more stand so it is perfect for that.

Worse than the kliq that just broke

This is so cheap, build quality sucks. I really hate this, and need to buy a good pedal tuner.

Maybe I received a defective model

Maybe I received a defect. Maybe this isn't meant for electric guitars. Not sure. The mic hardly ever pics up the guitar. I placed it as close to strings as possible, struck a low E, and watched it do nothing. Also tried by speaker. Plugging the guitar into the input seems to work better, but not perfect. I only bought this because I lost my Snark. At the price I probably won't read more return, as Sweetwater return policy will charge shipping that was free, plus I'll have to pay to ship back... So the tiny difference I'll actually get back isn't worth it.

No other tuner in this price range goes down to 410Hz for reference pitch!

I didn't buy this for the metronome, I bought it for the reference pitch range 410Hz-480Hz. This is the only 1/4" input tuner I have found here at Sweetwater that goes below 435Hz besides the TC Polytune3(432Hz according to their product video) and the Peterson Strobostomp HD(390Hz to 490Hz). The Peterson Strobostomp HD is on my list of things to get, but wasn't quite in the budget read more yet. All that aside, this tuner does a great job for now and if you end up playing at 415-430Hz and can't shell out $139 for the Peterson this is a solid choice. According to Korg's website this tuner's accuracy for the 1/4" is better than 1 cent. I can't comment on the metronome, because I will never use it. This tuner was purchased to replace my old Boss that only went down to 435Hz. I found myself enjoying 415Hz, 420Hz, 427Hz quite regularly so I obviously needed a new tuner. It was well packaged and protected with bubble-wrap inside the box and the backlight on it is really amazing. Also, I can't comment on the microphone tuning for non-1/4" instuments but since the accuracy is better than 1 cent on the 1/4" if you have that I would recommend using it. Overall it feels like a good product and would warrant consideration for the reference pitch range alone.

I like it so much that I bought another!

This is the second one of these that I have purchased (I liked the first one so much!) in less than a year. I use this on two guitars – electric and acoustic. It is accurate, with and without the optional contact microphone. The backlit screen is very easy to see and it even has a built-in metronome if you need one! I have no complaints and I highly recommend this tuner.
