It fits 00!

The Gator promotional video pretty much tells the story you need to know. Quite frankly, though, I'm a bit underwhelmed by the bag. This is not an inexpensive bag, and I own a few other bags at this price point to compare it to, including another Gator. The Transit bag doesn't feel as rugged as the others, and it lacks the robust protection I've come to expect. The materials,… read more both inside and out, feel a little too cheap. It's clear that Gator was going for contemporary styling rather than plain, functional, rugged functionality. Sure, there are outside pockets, but two are skimpy slim and the large pocket lacks padding. So why buy this bag? I gotta tell you, I looked high and low for a mid-price, reasonably well padded bag and this particular size (Classical/00) fits my two 00 size guitars like a glove! With all the padding in, it fits my Eastman (41" total length), and by removing either the headstock or lower bout padding it fits my Epiphone (41.5" total length). This puts the Gator Transit Classical in a category of its own.

Good fit for my Regal RC-51

Finding a hard case for my Regal RC-51 tricone resonator turned out to be something of a quest. The manufacturer's own case wasn't available anywhere. Hard cases that had the right dimensions on paper had issues in practice, e.g., the shallow body depth of the guitar caused the neck cradle to push the neck upward at an awkward angle. Indeed it is a very good fit with the 3-point retention system pieces velcro-ed into place. I have a couple of Gator ProGo cases that I've used for years and really love, wish the ProGo series had a model with these dimensions since it offers even more protection, storage, and a rain cover. But this is a fine case. Bonus: With the 3-point retention system pieces removed, it's also a very good fit for my Bartolex 10-string classical guitar. Never thought I would find a backpack case that would work for that odd sized beast!

Very good semi rigid bag

This is a perfect fit for Yamaha FS and Storia model guitars. I have 3 of the Transit series bags and use them exclusively to transport my guitars. These bags have multiple easy access pockets for extra items. I use hard cases for storage.
