Works great with my Strandberg Boden 7
I bought this specifically for my Strandberg Boden 7. I've been using it for about 8 months and it works just fine. Ordering another one as soon as they're back in stock.
Great experience!
Great experience. Great price. Great delivery. Great product! All my guitars (& basses) are offsets & this is the ONLY guitar stand that will do!!!
Bought for a Stranberg
Fits my neck-thru nicely ! Very well padded and solidly built. No complaints !! As usual, Sweetwater does a very fast delivery Thanks !!
For offset guitars and basses (like a Strandberg) It is one of the only options
I purchased this after Strandberg discontinued their stands and instructed me that this was the best current option. Pluses: Inexpensive, light, adjustments stay where you leave them, folds, extra side arm adds extra stability, stable enough for most situations (though I would not use it where kids/pets are about, stick to the stringswing BCC151-FW for that.) Negatives: this is… read more not as stable as Ultimate or Hercules hanging stands, but with a headless guitar those are out, the tiny rubber feet pop out (you can see an escaped one in the side pic) plan on gluing them. Just is: this takes some time to get just right. The bottom arms that hold the guitar have about a dozen holes they could be secured through with a thumb nut. Through trial and error you can find just the right setup where vibration won't send your beloved instrument off its stand. It is not perfect, but I am not sure how it could be improved and still work for the myriad of shapes it works for. If you need it for different instruments, I recommend buying more than one so you can leave the settings be.
Great for autoharps
I have been looking for an ideal autoharp stand for years that was simple, flexible, safe, and affordable. The problem with autoharp stands is that the only ones that ever really work are ones that are made specifically for the instrument, given that the bridge end has a pronounced angle. Thus, unless you lay the instrument sideways in an A frame stand, they sit rather precariously,… read more and custom stands get pretty pricey pretty fast - especially if you need more than one. Build-your-owns may work but only if you're handy (I'm not) and don't mind the weight of a wooden stand (I do). Sure, you can bend the tines of some A frames a little, but it's not ideal and they tend to break before long. These Fender stands are perfect AND affordable, compared to the alternatives. They fit the instrument perfectly and they sit safely, solidly, and securely in the stand. Nice! My only complaint is that the little rubber "feet", if you can even call them that, are just little plugs that fit into a small holes. I guarantee you will lose at least one in the first 5 minutes. I can work around that but it seems like such an obvious and cheap to address flaw ...
