It does it's thing. But do pay attention to the directional arrow. I didn't notice for several uses and kept wondering why one of my pedals was sounding weird all of the sudden. Once I figured it out and reversed it all was well again and appears no harm done.

I've been using this for over a year now and have had no issues. A really great way to take advantage of an 18v output on a power supply when you need to power another 9v.
