Material is like Velcro on a short. Not smooth at all, just uncomfortable. Doesn't seem like it'll hold up long with the weight of a Fender bass.

First strap ever, bought it for my first bass. Was looking for something nice non leather. I actually thought the thin side was for the neck but is actually to adjust to make it shorter and goes at the bottom of the bass. Is supper soft and feels strong. I also love it because is great for someone tall as well as someone short. Im short and the adjustment works very well.
