It's hard to find a long, RUGGED, REAL non-bonded, leather strap at or near this price. I oiled mine with Franklin glove oil which softened it up nicely. I applied heavily with a a sponge, hung over a barstool over night and brushed with a shoe polish brush the next day. It makes the leather much darker, but will fade again over time. I have had my first strap for nearly 40… read more years and this new Martin strap is the same high quality. Buying another one today.

This strap is a very nice piece of leather. It is a little darker than the picture, but that's ok. The length is good for me. I sent one back That was too short, but it was a different brand. I'm 5' 10" tall, and this strap fits perfect when extended all the way out and connected to the strap button on the neck by the body. I don't like to play with the guitar high up on my… read more chest. It was a little tough at first getting it over the strap button, but that's because it's leather and it's new and fairly stiff. But overall, I'm happy with this Martin strap.
