Mounted as easily as expected. PP2+ and PT Classic 1
Worked well for mounting my Pedal Power 2+ to my PT Classic 1 (newest version). As a tip, use a 9v battery as a spacer to level the power supply out. This will line up the bracket holes in the perfect spot on the back rail. Hold it in place, mark each hole with a black sharpie marker. Remove the whole unit, then drill each Sharpie mark with the 1/8" bit. Put the power supply… read more back in place and screw it in with a handheld screwdriver to avoid stripping the screws or or the holes. Don't worry about the bracket covering vent holes. I looked on the Voodoo lab website forums and a rep from Voodoo lab actually posted this... "This is no problem! While you are covering the vents with these brackets, you are actually mechanically connecting the Pedal Power to a rather large heat sink." So all the 1 & 2 star reviews you see here maybe should NOT be 1 or 2 star reviews at all. Have no fear, this is the thing you want if you have a Voodoo Lab power supply and a newer Pedaltrain.
Secure Hold
Mounted a Voodoo Lab Pedal Power 2 Plus onto a new Pedaltrain Classic Jr with a solid hold. No instructions come with this product, but a quick look at a pic in the review section got me started. Remove the 4 machine screws on the side of the power supply and attach the brackets as in the photo (took me a second to realize the rubber feet on the PP2 Plus were just stickers; They… read more had to be moved inward so the brackets would fit). 1/8 inch bit worked for drilling the screw holes. Wear safety glasses to avoid shrapnel. Plug in pedals, enjoy.
Solid Brackets
Works perfectly with the Pedaltrain Classic Jr. and the Voodoo Lab Power 2 Plus. Just drill 4 holes with a 1/8" bit and you are good to go. Instructions are not included but its easy to put it together.
Perfect Fit... Don't be afraid of the install
Yes, you'll need a drill and 1/8" bit... It's a pretty easy job! The easy way to install these are these steps: - Install the brackets on the power supply. They only fit one way, you'll use the existing case screws on the sides of the power supply - Locate the supply where you'd like it on the bottom of the board. Move it around until the brackets naturally touch the bottom… read more of the board where the screw holes in the brackets are located, contacting both the back side of the board face and the back side of the riser. - Mark TWO of the holes and drill. I did the two on the back of the board face first. - Install two screws - Mark and drill the other two holes - Install the last two screws Enjoy clean and quiet power! For a really pro look, find a right angle IEC cord or adapter to run the power cable parallel with the front of the board. Electronics suppliers or Amazon carry the cords or adapters.
Does not fit discontinued/ legacy models. Too Tall for some older models with less underneath clearance.
If you are buying a new pedaltrain, don't worry about this, it does not apply to you. But if you have or buy buy an older model and are looking to mount a voodoo labs power supply, you actually need part BRKT-1. This product (PT-VDL-MK) has a mounting depth of about 1 3/8", where the older model BRKT-1 has a mounting depth of around 3/4", allowing it to fit underneath older models… read more that sit a bit lower to the floor. Older models that need the BRKT-1 are PT-JR, PT-1, and PT-2. There may be others. In the picture you can see this product on the left and the shallower BRKT-1 on the right. Again if you are purchasing a new unit, this does not apply. But if you are looking to add to an older unit, this piece won't work. I am giving it five stars because once I did get the proper brackets, they worked just perfectly, s I don't want to bash the product.
