A very nice intermediate guitar

William

As a singer songwriter I want to get a lot of thick sound out of my guitar when I play. That is exactly what I get with the Washburn Festival EA20 mini-Jumbo. The guitar was shipped to me ready to play, and that is what I did, after the 24 hour waiting period. I would recommend this guitar for anyone interesting in upgrading from the $200 range but can't afford the $1000 range.

Washburn A20 Demo

I purchased this guitar which offered a Demo model reduced price a few dings or scratches were pointed out before my purchase. I took the gamble and purchased it knowing it was slightly less than perfect. I received this guitar today and I'm telling you I could not be more happy with my choice. I play a lot around campfires in Summer up here in the hills of Maine and I'm sure there read more is not a sweeter sounding guitar hanging around the camps coming up this season. My son also owns a sweet Washburn thin line for many years now but his was top dollar back in the day, camp out of a band member that did a stand in for a back up member for Jimmy Buffet down in the keys...when I purchased it for him 20 years ago and still the sweetest sounding guitar around. Festival Series' rock! Thank you Sweetwater Sound!

Also a big shout out for great customer service to...David Winkert! You were right about this little guitar...it sure is sweet for the demo... glad I took the gamble. Already playing it... real sweet action on it... quality sound at a great price, like it better than my Takamine already... Sweetwater rocks!

Hello Old Friend...

It has been a while since I played (my first language is drums) so getting my fingers reacquainted with strings has been a joy. The EA20 neck is superb and fits my hand extremely well and the action is low and very comfortable. After breaking it in for a couple of months and getting my fingers back in condition I have dialed in the sound I like and am able to get warm, easy finger read more picking tones, full-bodied strumming, and nice blunt chunking when palming the bridge. By design the instrument leans on the brighter side, so if you are looking for sparkle it is most definitely here. The dynamic range really is quite broad, especially when played through an amp. It pairs up nicely with a multi-effects pedal for luscious finger style and can even handle some overdrive when you want a little attitude. This guitar represents amazing value, is extremely versatile and has stunning good looks! Josh Dillon was enormously helpful and highly attentive to the sales process. My unit was a Demo model and was virtually flawless. My first purchase through Sweetwater, but most definitely not my last!

I"ll start by saying that I"m not a pure guitarist. I"m a drummer that enjoys playing guitar. Started playing it right out of the box with no adjustments needed. The action is excellent (better than expected), the sound is rich, and the electronics are quiet. Even after a bit of vigorous strumming (did I mention that I"m really a drummer), this guitar stayed in tune. Sounds great, read more plays great, looks great. What more could you want? A case. The Washburn Florentine case. Fits like a glove. Buy it, play it, enjoy it.
