Awesome Guitar!

I'm not a professional, maybe intermediate, have a 'collection' of different acoustic and electrics, and which guitar do I pick up the most? You guessed it...the APXT2! Obviously, acoustically it's sound is different than a huge full bodied dreadnought, but it's sound for its size is very impressive. Plugged in, well listen to some of the incredible players reviewing this guitar read more on YouTube. For the money, this thing can't be beat. Somebody mentioned figuring out how to get a pick guard on it. I make my own.

Perfect guitar for what I wanted it for. Small lightweight to use while on couch. Great sound. I was surprised at how the fretboard felt like a regular size. Thanks to Derek Kemp for taking good care of helping me with the ordering process and answering all my questions.

After many attempts to find a travel size guitar that sounds & plays as great as my other instruments! Thankfully Brian Kerns directed me to the Yamaha! I couldn't be happier & love the incredible tone when the on board electronics are added! Even the electronics it can cut through. Thanks to Sweetwater & my "Guy" Brian Kerns for such professionalism & outstanding products!!

I can't say enough good things about this guitar! Amazing quality for the price. The neck is very true and the action is smooth. But the best thing about it is how great it sounds through a decent PA! It's a bit feedback prone in a live situation, but nothing I can't deal with. It just FEELS good in my hands. Kudos to Yamaha for making such a good product. I'd give it 10 stars if read more I could!

This is not a toy. It is a serious stage worthy instrument. I have played many gigs with mine and always take it as a backup. The perfect travel guitar.

Phenomenal Little Guitar

I bought this for my daughter who is 14, but petite, and wanted something smaller than a full-size. I am truly impressed with the quality of this guitar. Played great right out of the box, with nice low action that I think is important for beginners to not get discouraged. And, no fret buzz... setup is perfect. Also, since it's smaller it's not as loud, which is a bonus for me. read more But, sounds great through the amp when you want to get loud. And has a built-in tuner. If you're looking for a smaller 3/4 size guitar that won't break the bank, this is it! (The one on the right in the pic)

I am a beginner guitar player, and I absolutely love this guitar!! It has a great sound and fits against my body very comfortably. The thin neck allows for very easy movement along neck! I think the built in tuning device is great as well. I have allowed a few established guitar players to play on it, and they too fell in love with this beauty. If you're just starting out like read more me, or want something very easy to travel with, please take a look at the little beauty!!!!

An amazing little guitar! Buy one!

Recently a suffered a broken left shoulder from a fall. Playing my full size acoustics and electrics was too painful, so I bought this little rascal to play while I am healing up.Holy cow! Don't let the price fool you - this little thing is sweet! No, its not a Martin, Taylor, or Santa Cruz unplugged. But plug it into any halfway decent acoustic amp, and hang on to your shorts! The read more pickup/preamp gives thing amazing sound and sustain. I have a 35watt Ibanez Troubador acoustic amp, and the sound is beyond amazing! Sustain is solid with very little decay, and no noise to speak of. It will feedback if you have it close up to the amp and cranked all the way, but so does every other guitar. Big deal - Not!The neck took just a little tweaking for my taste, and now its a dream to play. The tuners have plastic buttons, but they hold tune as well as any guitar I've had, and they are an easy swap out if you want to do it.The finish and construction are typical Yamaha - flawless in every way. It comes with a nylon case, neck wrench, and complete manual, along with the candy sack you get from Sweetwater. Take this little beast at face value - $... for a terrific beginner guitar with balls-to-the-wall sound when amplified. Its also a great travel/vacation guitar so you don't have to trust an airline with your Martin. Leave it home and take this one instead. Yes, it's that good!
