Great Guitar and Sound!!
This guitar is well built and sounds as good as any top shelf Acoustic!!
Happy With My Purchase
I received this model on 1/13/22. I have not used the electrics on it yet. Right out of the box it played very well, the setup is great for me, and it was very close to being in tune which completely surprised me. I am mainly an electric player but occasionally play acoustic. I was leery of buying an acoustic guitar online without being able try it first. I was looking for a decent… read more acoustic I could take to play out that had good tonal properties, played well/felt comfortable and if something happened it wouldn't be the end of the earth. I have a $4500 Taylor that is awesome but when I've taken it to gigs or to do some acoustic jamming, I'm always afraid it might get damaged. I did a lot of research on acoustics in this price range and chose this, and I knew if there was an issue, I could return it. I've purchased several thousands of $$$ on gear from Sweetwater and it's been a good experience so far. The packaging from Sweetwater was amazing! That was one thing I was worried about having it shipped but they did an incredible job. Thank you for that!
Amazing
I'm very grateful for all good services and regarding the shipping items, I have to say that was excellent, all items packaged very well... About my Guitar FGX830C, I'm very happy, I'm a beginner and getting along with it, and the guitar case, I have to say also that is wonderful, cause I wouldn't think that my nice guitar would get scratches and will be save as well.. Thanks to everyone… read more of Sweetwater crew, excellent job...
Yamaha FGX830c Review
Awesome guitar. Feels great, plays great, plays super loud and resonant. Sweet water was an awesome choice for buying a guitar. They were super helpful
Yamaha - Danelectro 59XTBK - Marshall Origin 50
This review is for the Yamaha as well as the Danelectro 59XTBK and Marshall Origin 50. The Yamaha is used as a busy rhythm guitar driving in the background. It is fed through an Electro-Harmonix LB 2ube pre-amp to a Pro Tools Digidesign M2 mini box. Clean and balanced with a shimmer. The Danelectro is used as an accent hard rhythm and solo guitar both plugged into the Marshall which… read more connects to the mini box via the amp's direct out. The pickups are a wonderful change from the standard offering three distinct tonalities. And the wanker bar stays in tune. The Marshall is set at 5 watts, the Tilt is responsive and useful and the direct out is what you hear from the speaker. The proof is in the listening.
Superior
I really love this guitar. It is very sturdy and is as good as the Martins I have owned. Beautiful!!
I ride a Yamaha and play one

FGX830C
Bought this FGX830c in Black a few months ago. All I can say is wow! I've owned, and own Martins, Taylors, Epiphones, Ibanez, Seagulls, and other guitars, and recently decided to give the Yammies a try. Boy am I glad I did. This guitars, sounds as good as any of my other guitars. The craftsmanship is great. It looks fantastic, it sounds fantastic, and it has me playing it more… read more than my other guitars because the action and play-ability is so great. I was so impressed with this guitar I purchased another Yamaha just a couple of weeks ago, the LL6 ARE, which I will be reviewing in a short time. Although I can say right off the bat I am as equally impressed with the LL6 as I am with the FGX830c. The FGX830c sounds loud and proud by itself and is just fine when feed into an amp. I prefer to mic a guitar rather than use the on-board electronics, but they are good in my opinion. This guitar is so much fun to play I can hardly put it down, well maybe to pick up the LL6 ARE. All I can say is for the money Yamaha makes a first class guitar, the value is incredible. I would recommend this as well as the LL6 to anyone without hesitation! Truly great values on great instruments! Rock
