My New Favorite Strings

They feel great, they sound great, and they last a very, very long time. When I play, I sweat like a Hooker on Coupon Night and I'm much too lazy to wipe my guitar down after every practice. (I mean, c'mon, who does that anyway?) I seem to get 2-3 times the life from these Elixirs than I do my old Ernie Balls.

I switched to Elixir coated strings from D'Addario XL's as soon as I tried them. I have been playing for 52 years professionally and when I tried the Optiweb I liked them even better as they feel silkier. In fact I had an unused set of Nanowebs lying around after the first try of the Opti's and they felt "dirty" somehow, not silky like a brand new set, yet they were the same strings… read more I used for at least 15 years previously. I use custom light .09-.46 As always, I deal with Sweetwater for the excellent customer service.

These are great. I put them on my Les Paul Tribute, and they are perfect. Sound great, feel better than other Elixir types, and have a great lifespan.They've been on it for a couple of months, and still sound wonderful. Tried Cleartone and D'addario EXPs, and wasn't happy at all with the EXP. Get these and be amazed at how good they are.

They feel the same as uncoated strings but seem to last longer.
