I wanted something brighter for my 27" with standard B tuning these are perfect they have a nice bright crunch and the guage is perfect for the longer scale legnth.

Cannot recommend these strings.I tried them out of curiosity, and freshly installed they sounded much worse than 1 month old Stringjoy's (which still sounded great). They were lacking high frequencies and I couldn't compensate it enough with EQ'ing. Kinda plastic sound if you will.I can imagine someone to like this sound, e.g. for jazz, but not me. Both high gain and clean sounded… read more overly dark, like dead strings after 3 months of usage do. It's much easier to roll off treble than to get it out of thin air.
