Best Overall Strings
I recently purchased a Guild Dreadnaught, which is the finest acoustic Guitar I've ever owned. In my search for the perfect strings, I tried a myriad of different sets. Of all the many brands, gauges and alloys, coated and uncoated, expensive and inexpensive, the Ernie Ball Phosphor Bronze Light was the winner. With ample bottom end, ringing trebles and a good feel under my fingertips,… read more they give my Guild the full-bodied sound that Guilds are known for. I've been using Super Slinkys on my electric guitars for decades, should have known that Ernie Ball would nail the acoustic genre as well. Highly recommended. AAA+++
Simply great sounding
As a user of lighter guage strings I felt that I sometimes sacrificed sound for easy playability. I like to change my strings often and these strings are priced to make that affordable. Did I say the sound is wonderful? Best I've used in a while.
Neck swap shock
These are the only strings I've found that lessen the neck shock switching from the electric to acoustic guitar in the middle of a set. The unwound third is a large part of this. If your acoustic and electric guitars have similar necks these strings are a must have. If you're planning on switching to electric these strings should help make the transition easier.
Great Strings
Im not really a serious guitar player or anything (although i wish i was!) i just play when im bored here and there some easy songs but I popped a couple strings when tuning up and decided to give these strings a try because i know "super slinky" strings are popular amongst serious players and have been for a long time. And i was really surprised at the tone these strings gave… read more off. They're Great sounding strings and make my guitar def sound better than the original strings did!.. If these ever break I would def buy them again because i like the sound so much!
Excellent strings
I recently tried a set of these and I'm amazed. I've used Martin SP's forever and thought I'd give these a try. These are definitely my new string of choice for my acoustic !! Excellent bass response & bright, shiney trebles. Excellent volume across all strings. In fact these have twice the volume & tone than the SP's. I'm hooked !!
