Great for PRS guitars
while primarily a Strat player i used Ernie Ball Skinny Top, Heavy Bottom (dark orange package) which on a Strat length neck gives great tension when you grab power chords but still allows you to bend the higher strings with ease. i was a bit lost with my first 2 PRS guitars since their neck length is between that of Strat and Gibson, but after i found these strings the hunt is… read more over. same great tension on the thicker strings but with a shorter length neck the 10.5 e-string and proportioned gauges have made me a fan. if you never could get used to 11s on a PRS then this is the ticket - 10s are usually too flimsy. great job Ernie Ball! this is why i keep coming back to you!
Not so great.
The first 10.5 and second 13.5 strings aren't to bad for sound. The rest and kind of clunky and dead sounding. I wanted to buy a new set of Gibson classics that came with the Les Paul but couldn't find them locally. I wouldn't buy these again.
