PERFECT set for 1/2 Step Down
If you play 1/2 step down (Eb) or Drop C# these are fantastic. I prefer them to 11's because they're just as stable but I find the gauge of the plain strings are a better balance than your standard 11-48 set. Slightly easier to bend while retaining stability.
Mega Bucks Baby!
Been experimenting with guitar strings for over 30 years. The Ernie Ball MEGA Slinky, has to be the greatest improvement ever made to an electric guitar string. My Custom Shop Telecaster in standard tuning with the MEGA’s is what I’ve always hoped for. Excellent intonation! Solid tuning stability! Just the right amount of girth and energy that punches hard, but sings so… read more smoothly! Single coil players will love these Mega strings! I love that I can attack the string hard without my guitar going out of tune. Oh, and bending for hrs? Without getting wore out? Gee…I feel young again! It’s been a long time since I’ve had a break through with this type of performance. I’m actual very excited about hearing my playing improve again. When you play for over 30 yrs. you get a little melancholy about your progress. Wow! Maybe there’s hope for another guitar player in the world. Just saying…
Perfect In Between
I love them! I bought them after playing 10's for years. I always over bended and had to much vibrato but these strings fixed the problem!
