Work great for A# tuning!

Great strings for A# drop tuning. Have a set on my Esp Lcd HK-602 and there is no buzzing at all. The strings tension up great for A# tuning. Takes a little bit of getting used to, due to the heaviness of the strings, especially when you go to rip on the smallest strings like they are 9's and you realize you need to man up a bit. : )

Massive Strings.

Use these on the guitar I practice on the most to build dexterity. They sell 13's but they're $ more. Highly recommend using these for fingerboard exercises.. as long as you have an ax that can handle the string tension.

Some of the BEST guitar strings to be created.

I'm not saying this because i've been loyal to Ernie Ball for 7 or so years, i'm saying this because after trying just about every single guitar string i possibly could, from power slinky's all the way to not even slinky's, these probably gotta be the most versatile and comfortable strings i've used. Yeah, these strings are giant (when i pulled it out of the package i thought it read more was a bass string), but they also hold a tone so perfectly that it's almost insane how strings this big could do it. Ideal for drop tunings? I'd say these are probably for anything up to and including whole step down. They have perfect tension for whole step down, and they have phenomenal tension at Drop A. Get them, seriously, their worth it.

Ideal strings for drop tunings

I needed a stable set of strings for C standard on a Gibson SG that would still maintain 17-21 tension lbs which is ideal tension for a 25.5 guitar according to my research. This set of string delivers the tone, feel, and stability i was looking for. If your concerned about your guitar tension id suggest using a string tension calculator like stringjoy to input your exact parameters read more and desired tuning. For example: Standard EADGBE with this set of strings will create a tension of 25-34 lbs which is not ideal. These strings are specifically for drop tunings.

100% PERFECTION

For those of you worried about string tension, I can tell you that they are completely unfounded these strings are absolutely perfect. I was able to string all my guitars up with these with little to no problem. I have guitars ranging from 24-26 scale and all of them have taken to these strings wonderfully, all ranging from C tuning up to the standard. I was assuming standard tuning read more would cause issues but I have not noticed any yet. Ernie Ball knocked it out of the park on these strings.
