i've played super slinky 9's over 25 yrs. rarely break if ever, excellent tone and durability. i get the 10 pack for my 4 electrics. good product.

Ernie Ball Strings Are #1

My LTD EC1000 originally came with 10-46 gauge strings, D'Addario, which was fine but after playing them for about a month I decided I wanted lower gauge strings and I wanted Ernie Ball. Ive had great success with Ernie Ball strings before, they feel great, sound great and the price is right. I went with 9 gauge because I'm a beginner guitarist and I wanted lower tension for easier… read more playing. I play Black Metal which is typically in standard tuning anyway or higher, its all about the melodies and harmonics, not bassy chugginess like other genres of Metal. Funny side note, at first I bought a single back of these strings and when I was restringing my guitar I cut one of the strings way too short and made it impossible to use so I had to buy another pack of strings lol. Decided to get this 3 pack just incase I messed up again, doesnt hurt to have a couple back ups. Thank you, Sweetwater.
