Surprising
I"ve tried a few different strings on my "18 Jr that includes 11-12 gauge Pyramids, 11 gauge NYXLs and 11 gauge Thomastik-Infelds. I recall liking Dean Marley Bronze acoustic strings back in the 90s and decided to give these 11-52s a try on the Jr. Surprisingly, I like these better than the Thomastiks (11,15,19,32,45,53). The tension is real nice, strings bend easy and they feel… read more good to the touch. The string-to-string balance is superb; I like the gauge of the B string (13) as it makes playing all lower strings a breeze and pars tonally with the G and B too. Mids are well balanced. The low end is deep, has great detail and drive - as well heard through my Mini Z. I"m interested to hear how the Blue Steels sound. Gave these strings a try after seeing a 1986 Dean Markley ad with Alex Lifeson in it. Big Rush fan! Thank you Sweetwater.
Legendary artists choice
I personally know two legendary guitarists that choose these strings and have turned me on to them. There's no turning back for me! Used to be a gibson string buyer and love their guitars, these strings bring my stinging and soaring guitar runs even higher and cleaner sounding drive toward my desired sound output. Legendary!
