Ernie Ball string enthusiast

I tend to like Ernie Ball guitar strings in general and these are my favorite acoustic guitar strings-I like the tone and also the feel of these strings beneath my fingers. I like the uncoated Ernie Ball Earthworm strings too-maybe try them both and see which you prefer-can't really go wrong either way IMO. These are more expensive but still a good value and since they are coated read more the tone lasts longer so I change them less frequently than uncoated strings.

Great strings twice the life as normal

I've been using these strings since the fall of 2015. Besides playing acoustic gigs, I play about 6-8 nursing homes a month from oldies to country they sound good and don't oxidize near as quickly as the new aluminum strings and last longer. I change strings about once a month and get a good 18-20 hours worth of gig time out of each set. Then when I'm done, I keep the old ones to read more help kids out out school who have broken strings, so they get even more use out of them when they can't afford strings.

Not impressed

I've been using Elixir strings, decided to try some other coated strings. With the EB, the low E has a weird overtone, and the high E string broke right away when first tuning it up (standard tuning, nothing fancy.)The strings don't feel 'slippery' like the Elixirs, though.
