Ernie Ball string enthusiast
I tend to like Ernie Ball guitar strings in general and these are my favorite acoustic guitar strings-I like the tone and also the feel of these strings beneath my fingers. I like the uncoated Ernie Ball Earthworm strings too-maybe try them both and see which you prefer-can't really go wrong either way IMO. Great strings twice the life as normal
I've been using these strings since the fall of 2015. Besides playing acoustic gigs, I play about 6-8 nursing homes a month from oldies to country they sound good and don't oxidize near as quickly as the new aluminum strings and last longer. I change strings about once a month and get a good 18-20 hours worth of gig time out of each set. Not impressed
I've been using Elixir strings, decided to try some other coated strings. With the EB, the low E has a weird overtone, and the high E string broke right away when first tuning it up (standard tuning, nothing fancy.)The strings don't feel 'slippery' like the Elixirs, though.
