Best match for my '35 Style O. Loud with just the right bright and metallic rasp. Both slide or not. Magnetic pickups loves them. Nice!
Yep!
I'm just here to support all the users that have gone on before me. These are bright, clear, loud, and tons of overtones. Great for a bass heavy guitar to even it out. They are currently on my D'Angelico Tammany and they really are Sweet. I bet these would do something amazing on a jumbo. I've heard some say they are brighter than 80/20s but I'm not sure. I think the package has… read more it right. Except a phosphor bronze type of tone but way more of it. This might sound like a dream string but If you have say a cedar top I think these would overload the resonance and cause a less desirable sound. But experiment and see what suits your guitars.
Actually the older they get the more I am impressed.
I had read positive reviews of these strings: strong, better resistance to oxidation, and great response/sound. Well, I took the bait and bought some. The strings have met all my expectations and demands. And they sound amazing. I don't change my strings as often as I should and eventually, the decline in sound quality is really noticeable. So I get to work and chuck 'em. I… read more have had these strings on for about 4 1/2 months (yikes!). I play an hour or more a day so I put some mileage in the strings. I also don't always have pristine washed fingers tips. So, I may add tiny amounts of grime periodically. But these strings keep ringing true. I am going to change them but I don't feel the need like I do with other strings. I kinda think I could just clean them with alcohol and keep going! I highly recommend Ernie Ball Aluminum Bronze strings.
Impressive Clarity!
Excellent articulation and clarity with these strings! I'm impressed. Buying more now!
Excellent Strings!
I was looking for something other than the recommended Elixer strings for my Taylor 814ce. I read the reviews of these strings and thought I'd give it a try. Without a doubt the best sounding strings I've EVER heard (and been playing for 60 years). If you're an acoustic player, or fingerstyle player, the sound will amaze you!
